A workflow is the sequence of steps required to finish a task. It can be parallel, sequential or a combination of both. It includes mandatory tasks along with must-haves, nice to haves that need to be completed to meet a specific objective. It also includes the personnel, tools and resources needed to accomplish these tasks. A well-organized workflow is sure to maximize efficiency and productivity. It also allows employees to focus on the most important aspects of their job.
The workflow process can be automated with software. This is especially useful for customer service as it will help cut down the time required to respond to a request. In addition automation can decrease the amount of human error in the process, which could improve the quality of the product.
To simplify the management and track your processes to make it easier to manage and find your processes, you can organize your workflow into folders. For example, a sales workflow could be divided into various folders for each product line or brand. To create a folder go to the workflows dashboard and click Create. Enter a name and select the checkbox next to the business unit that you wish to assign to. To change a workflow’s assigned business unit you must hover over the workflow, then click More > Change business unit.
